MENENTUKAN PENURUNAN TITIK BEKU LARUTAN

 Tanggal : 15 Agustus 2011

Tujuan : Mengamati titik beku zat pelarut (air) dan pengaruh zat terlarut terhadap titik beku larutan, serta    menentukan nilai penurunan titik beku larutan.

Teori Dasar : Titik beku adalah suhu pada nilai tekanan tertentu , saat terjadi perubahan wujud zat dari cair menjadi padat. Penurunan titik beku larutan adalah selisih antara titik beku pelarut dan titik beku larutan.

Alat : 1. Tabung reaksi besar         

         2. Gelas kimia

         3. Termometer

         4. Sendok

Bahan : 1.Pupuk area

            2.Es batu yang dihancurkan sehingga halus

            3.Garam kotor

            4.Air bebas mineral atau Aqua dm

            5.NaCl

Langkah Kerja :

1. Buat pendingin dengan cara memasukan es batu 3/4 gelas kimia dan ditambahkan 8 sendok garam kotor

2. Lalu siapkan 5 tabung reaksi masing-masing  diisi :

    a. NaCl 1 molal  2 ml

    b. NaCl 2 molal 2 ml

    c. Urea 1 molal 2 ml

    d. Urea 2 molal 2 ml

    e. Aquades 2 ml

3.Memasukan 5 tabung tersebut kedalam pendingin

Data Pengamatan :

   Larutan           Titik Beku          Penurunan Titik Beku

  Aquades              11                          0 derajat

  Urea 1 m             -9                          20 derajat

  Urea 2 m             -11                        22 derajat

  NaCl 1 m            -5                          16 derajat

  NaCl 2 m            -5                          16 derajat

Kesimpulan :

Dalam percobaan tersebut dapat kita ambil kesimpulan yaitu ;

1. Titik beku Urea 1 molal lebih tinggi dibanding titik beku Urea 2 molal, sedangkan titik beku NaCl 1 molal mempunyai perbandingan titik beku yang sama dengan NaCl 2 molal.

2. Titik beku larutan Elektrolit lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan titik beku larutan Non Elektrolit.
